“THIS DREAM IS WELCOME”

Right now I am feeling fear, anxiety, excitement, pride, and joy.
I welcome these feelings, because they all have something to teach me about myself.
I acknowledge them as I move forward.

I am moving with hope, wisdom, and love into fear and into death.
This dream is welcome.
In my dreams I maintain my values and my moral integrity.
I see it in what I do with my body and my words while dreaming.
This is a dream. And I do not want suffering to be a part of it.
So I am reducing the suffering either real or perceived in the dream.

Perception is reality, no?
I change my reality by changing my perceptions.
In whatever state of consciousness I find myself, compassion is the vocation.

Compassion (for self and for others) is one choice.
Agression is the only alternative. I see this in terms of attachment to the ego.
Agression is attachment to the ego. Agression leads to suffering.

In every moment, dreaming or waking, I choose either to add aggression to the universe in a never ending cycle, or to add compassion as we all return to love.

This dream is welcome.
I walk through these dreams with humility.
Humility is so powerful.
Because in recognizing that every being has something to teach me, every being becomes valuable and allows me to grow.
For that I can welcome any being graciously, gratefully, and humbly.

I gain power and I am empowered by increasing my humility, compassion, and moral integrity.
I gain power from this wisdom, but without my humility, compassion, and morality, this wisdom can turn into ego-reinforcement.

It can turn into supremacy and perceived superiority based on my different identities – moving me in the direction of white supremacy, male supremacy, straight supremacy, able-bodied supremacy, middle/upper-class supremacy, and other forms of perceived superiority.

All of these are forms of oppression to others.
And if I oppress others, I also dehumanize and demoralize and numb myself.
If I value every being for what and who they are in the moment of our encounter,
I feel I can reduce my own oppresiveness.
I am reducing my own sense of superiority in order to add more love to the universe.

This dream is welcome.
Moving forward with compassion in every step, remaining open to the wisdom that every moment presents me, I am empowered to become the kind of moral, political, educational, and accountable leader that I want to be.
In this way I feel empowered to become a leader that fosters leadership, compassion, and moral integrity in others.
In this way I commit myself to the constant, compassionate, and dynamic education of myself and others.

This challenging, exciting, scary and hopeful dream is very welcome.
This dream is welcome.
